  • A32 Perestman-Scully Hall (map)

The Inequality Science Lecture Series showcases social scientists who do research on inequality and give a public lecture as well as lead a workshop on translating their research into best practices the following day. The final public presentation in this series for the 2015-2016 academic year will be on the topic of prejudice and health, featuring two speakers: Mark Hatzenbuehler at Columbia’s Mailman School of Public Health and Tene Lewis at Emory’s School of Public Health. Dr. Hatzenbuehler examines how community-level homophobia and racism relate to mental and physical health.  Dr. Lewis examines how perceived racial discrimination relates to physical health among African Americans.
